During Rick Rhoden's 16 year career he accomplished the following things:
**Won a World Series with the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates.
**Made two All Star teams (1976 & 1986).
**Is the only Major League Pitcher in history to start a game as the teams Designated Hitter (June 11, 1988). A game in which he helped the Yankees to an 8 - 6 win over the Orioles by hitting a sac-fly.
**He ranks third all time in fielding percentage for a pitcher (.989).
**Winner of three silver slugger awards for being the leagues best hitting pitcher (84-85-86).
Since retiring from Major League Baseball in 1989, Rick has found yet another sport he excels at.....golf. Here are some of his Golf accomplishments:
**Winner of more than 50 Celebrity Tournaments since 1991 including 6 at Lake Tahoe....the tours biggest event of the year).
** Rhoden has been playing in some PGA Champions Tour Events over the last two years).
**Finished tied for fourth in one of last years Champions Tour events).
