Lodune Sincaid Interview Lodune Sincaid Interview
by Tanner Rhoden

I grew up an abusive family. My father, if you can call him that, was an abusive, psychotic drunk who regularly used me as a human punching bag to vent his daily disappointments. My mother and sister were also victims of this insane cycle of abuse. Because of being raised that way it showed me what my strengths and gifts are. I truly believe to be a warrior you're either a warrior or you're not. I knew my spirit was strong and above all other things I knew I could survive and succeed. My training partners consist of Jeremy Jackson, Brian Peterson, and Shawn Menendez. I pick up sparring partners whenever possible, so thanks to Bjorn and the other sparring partners that let me punch something. Sylvas Boxing Gym is owned by George Sylva who has helped me big time. Brian Peterson has been a God send for my grappling game and if anyone is in either Ventura or Westlake stop in and give VG a shout... [read more]

Jeremy Noring Rock Climbing Interview Jeremy Noring Rock Climbing Interview
by Sachet

Imagine a person scaling a cliff on a mountainside. The expression on their face is one of total concentration as they calculate every hand and foot placement. The only protection they have to save themselves from a slip to their death is the rope attached to their body.. well, that's IF the bolts they've pushed into the rock holds! The media does a great job of portraying rock climbing as an extreme sport which leaves you with the impression it's best left to that elite group who merely seek adrenaline rushes. I asked Jeremy Noring, who just happens to be an experienced climber, to answer some questions regarding rock climbing and he cleared up the misconceptions I was given from the media. Yes, it is a dangerous sport, but as much time is put into learning safety lessons as time is put into training. It's a lifestyle in itself... [read more]

The Road to 2800+lbs...The Road to 2800+lbs... Now that Garry had set the all time heaviest deadlift in history with his 931 it was back to the drawing board to make sure that this wasn’t a fluke. Hell I knew this wasn’t a fluke but the result of Garry’s dialed in nutrition and supplementation plan. It was now time to step it up a notch and prepare Garry for the next slew of competitions... I'm now going to talk about how to do a proper warm-up. While it is very difficult to prescribe a one-size-fits-all warm-up solution for all trainees under all circumstances I'll do my best to lay out some generalized guidelines for most trainees under most conditions. Most people take warm-ups for granted that have been training for a while. I'm often taken aback by the warm-ups that some of the trainees use, or in some cases don't use... [read more]
