Interview With Brad Cardoza
by Maki Riddington
Are you tired of lifting weenie weights in the gym, and of not looking like you actually get under the iron on a weekly basis? How'd you like to look the part, have the lifting power and the brains to match? Meet Brad Cardoza--as one of AtLarge Nutrition's sponsored athletes, this man is a different breed of strongman. Strongmen have always been big, powerful and rugged looking, and now they're beginning to come in super sizes. They turn heads wherever they go, silence a room when they enter and frighten children and their mothers by their presence. They're walking mountainous, boulders of muscle poised to lift, hold and/or pull hundreds and thousands of pounds... [read more]
Up & Coming Star Of The Month
he's known as Beeza on message boards and you can usually catch him at http://www.FortifiedIron.net in their bodybuilding forums. I was quite impressed with the progress he has made as a natural bodybuilder and asked him to answer a few questions. Please note that I started Brian's interview in October, but life got in the way between us due to classes, work and holidays... [read more]

| Garry Frank Chronicles (Part 1)
Garry Frank is no other than a living icon in the sport of powerlifting. In the history of our sport there has never been a lifter so strong and more complete. He is the Michael Jordan of powerlifting. He is what Muhammad Ali was to boxing, and what Wayne Gretzky was to hockey. Untouchable in his class, feared by his competitors, Garry Frank is a powerlifting superstar looking to rewrite the history books like never before... [read more] |
Dieting on the Go
Since the biggest excuse I get for not sticking to a diet is “I’m too busy” I thought I would give out some simple, time saving tips for the dieter on the go. Dieting is not rocket science but it can be time consuming and does take some time management skills if you are one of those people who don’t stay in one place long throughout the day... [read more]

| Top 10 Tips To Continued Training Success
Constantly starting and then quitting training for weeks at a time...or even months as some people do, will get you absolutely nowhere. You take one step forward, and two steps back...over and over again. Create an ideal training schedule for yourself... [read more] |

Zepp Deep Osaka, Official Weigh-Ins
by Hody Jae Huh
A unique event will be held tomorrow (Sunday the 06th) in Osaka, Japan – Zepp Deep. Deep is an up and coming Japanese MMA event that has notable fighters like Jutaro Nakao, Seichi Ikemoto, Mishima, and Chonan. While Chonan will not be fighting in tomorrows event, Nakao, Ikemoto, and Mishima will be. This event will be different than past ones. The event is being geared towards non MMA fans. I’ve been told that it will be a cross between a rock concert, music video, and MMA event. Confused? So am I. Unfortunately, there’s not much information available. I was hard pressed to even get the names of the fighters. I did learn that the rules will be similar to Pride, however, inactivity on the ground will result in the fighters being stood back up. They are hoping that this event will be faster paced and more action packed, as to appeal to non MMA fans... [read more]
KOTC - Payback
/27/05 – King of the Cage made a triumphant return to NE Ohio with arguably it’s biggest event to date in KOTC “Payback”. With fourteen fights on the card, Payback featured the highly publicized main event of Michael Westbrook vs. Jarrod Bunch, which did not disappoint the thousands in attendance. Nearly 6,000 screaming fight fans packed Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center... [read more]

| Breaking Our Limits
It never fails - I walk into my martial arts school with butterflies in my stomach every time, just knowing there are people there that could break me in half without breaking a sweat. I go there, and I strain - I mean hard. I'm not thin (22% BF), and I have asthma, so all the cardio we do (I practice Muay Thai) makes it all the more difficult. I pour sweat when I practice... Skarbowsky vs. Petchsupapan III
Jean Charles Skarbowsky started strong, busy with body punches and teeping Khunsuk outside of striking range; with his guard up, Khunsuk absorbs a lot of punches. Countering JCS’s attack, Khunsuk connects with several left high kicks, and at the end of the round, Khunsuk connects with a left elbow that cuts JCS in the top, right, upper corner right eye!... | Martial Arts Question of the Month
I recently watched a movie called Blood Sport on TV.
To be honest, I turned it on mainly because I saw Jean Claude Van damme's name in the TV guide.
It was really good in my opinion. (except when the fights got ugly since I'm not big on violence and then I missed parts because I wasn't watching them punch each other.) ... [read more] |

Drowning in a Pool of Shadows
Ecstasy is a very difficult drug to write about. Most "E" experiences consist of you and some friends sitting around an apartment or house listening to some form of upbeat dance music. Throw in some vicks, plenty of cigarettes, a nice massage, bottled water and a lot of weed and you've got yourself a party... [read more]
