Heidi Fletcher Interview Heidi Fletcher Interview
by Ed Ouble

My motivation comes from many different places from within. Different days I feel that I need to rely on different sources of motivation. It is the ability to set goals for myself and the pride of achieving them. Once I stand on stage I have already achieved my goal, no matter what the outcome. As long as I know that I have done absolutely everything in my power to prepare and stand on stage at my very best, then I have succeeded. The rest is up to the judges. A huge part of the motivation for me, is knowing that my parents are so supportive and proud of me. Sometimes I get a bigger thrill of seeing my parents in the audience so happy. They go pretty much everywhere with me, and are always the ones, yelling, cheering and clapping the loudest. Another huge source is the ability to push myself,... [read more]

Developing A Better BackDeveloping A Better Back The back is a very complex muscle group. It seems to somehow resist improvement at times, in spite of your best efforts, at least for me anyway. It is also an area that we are unable to see while training, therefore at times you may slack up a bit in favor of training a more "showy" area, such as the chest or the biceps... Children training with weights has been taboo in the USA for centuries. I am sure you have heard someone say “weight training stunts growth in children” . Some have even commented that weight training is bad for the joints. Yet there is no evidence to support these assumptions... [read more]

The Ugly Side of SteroidsThe Ugly Side of Steroids You might remember seeing Masswithclass2002's feature picture in issue 15 of the IL eZine: November Bodybuilding Question of the Month. In my opinion, his body is the epitome of bodybuilding perfection. Unfortunately, his involvement with AAS nearly cost him his life and he's agreed to share a piece of advice with those who may be thinking about traveling the same road he did... I am a big proponent of staying within striking distance in the off-season and that usually means I try to keep my guys in the 10% body fat range in the off-season and my reasoning for this is simple. There is no reason to get blown out in the off-season as it is just alot more cardio and suffering when that ever elusive contest prep begins... [read more]

Up The Dosage, Is More Better?Up The Dosage, Is More Better?
What’s the quickest and most effective way to change your physique? Easy. Insert several needles filled with an oily substance in your body each week and wash down half a dozen pink tabs everyday. Fast forward ten weeks and you should be pushing a good ten to fifteen pounds more in the lean tissue department. Pretty simple huh?... [read more]
Would you rather be huge or happy?Would you rather be huge or happy?
I see a lot of people on a daily basis that spend a large percentage of their days TOTALLY involved and obsessed with Bodybuilding and Powerlifting. And while there is nothing wrong with this if it is your livelihood or you plan to make it your livelihood, many, if not most of these guys and girls would be well advised to start spending more of their time working on what will really make them happy... K-1 Dynamite K-1 Dynamite
by Hody Jae Huh

K-1 Dynamite was just that – DYNAMITE! The card was stacked and the fighters were ready to go. The event was held at the Osaka Dome. According to K-1’s own homepage, there were 52.918 tickets sold for this event. SportsNavi is reporting that K-1 won the war of the ratings against Pride 20.1% to 18.3%. K-1 put on one hell of a show. The whole experience of being there live and having a press pass was simply – Awesome! I look forward to future K-1 shows and look forward to them going head to head with Pride again on New Year’s Eve 2005... [read more]
