    - Fyre/IronLife.com: First off Pam, thanks for taking the time to do this interview with us.
Pamela Howard: It’s wonderful to be honoured in this way, and always a pleasure !

    - For those of you that don't know you, how long have you been competing for?
I began training in the fall of 1992

    - You've just recently come off of a competition have you not?
I just finished competing in the IFBB North American Championships, in Cleveland, Ohio.

    - On an average Pam, how many competitions do you prepare for each year?
Right now, I prepare for the Canadian Championships each year, as I go for the pro card, so I train for that one show each year.

    - Do you work with a trainer or do you prep yourself for all your shows?
I’m presently working with Laura Binetti.

    - How did you first get started into bodybuilding? Did you have a role model that influenced you to get into bodybuilding?
I started training after I left an extremely abusive first marriage. I needed to take back my independence and feel good about myself again, and bodybuilding fit the bill!

    - Some think that women's bodybuilding is a dying sport. What do you feel about that Pam?
I feel that women in this sport have come a long way, but we still have miles left to travel in terms of what can still be accomplished in this industry!

    - When you train, what is your training philosophy?
I train to WIN. If I leave the gym, and I’m not tired, then I haven’t done my job, and that’s not acceptable.

    - When you're not competing, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my dog Bear ( husky/shepherd cross ) and take him to the leash-free park near our home!

    - When is the next show that you plan on competing at?
I have to decide where I will compete next in 2005! No one will know until the last minute.

    - Is there another area of interest that you would like to get into outside of bodybuilding?
I plan on opening my own Supplement store, and my son will be at my side as we take that business and make it grow.

    - Do you have any advice to give any ladies that are looking to get into bodybuilding?
Be aware that this sport will make or break you. I have seen too many women become defeated by the system, and if you don’t have a strong personality coupled with the ability to take criticism, then don’t even bother competing! If you DO compete, then do it for yourself- and no one else!!

    - Thanks once again for taking the time out of your schedule to do this interview Pam. Good luck with all your future endeavors.
Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I too wish you continued success in all you’re doing as well!
