Pride 28 - October 31st

With the PRIDE GP 2004 Finals between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fedor Emelianenko being a no contest, there's the question on what will happen. What will happen will be depending on the condition of both fighters. The cut on Fedor's head will need at least one month to heal as it's about 4cm long and it's down to the bone. DSE President Sakakibara would like to have the fight this year at PRIDE 28 on October 31st. The original plan for PRIDE 28 was to have Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a PRIDE Heavyweight championship unification, but now instead of two belts being on the line, the prize money and PRIDE GP 2004 championship belt would also be on the line.

After Wanderlei Silva's defeat over Yuki Kondo, Quinton Jackson appeared in the ring. Takada asked Rampage, "Do you want to fight?" "Of course!" said Quinton. Takada then turned to Silva, "Do you want to fight?" "Of course!" said Silva. These two will lock horns at PRIDE 28 for the PRIDE Middleweight championship!

The next show scheduled is PRIDE Bushido Vol 5, but no details have been announced as of yet. It will take place October 14th at the Osaka Castle Hall.

Pride 28 is going to be one hell of a show. The NC was great news for Pride because now they can put all the hype on another show.

I wonder though if Fedor can still train and prepare for October if it is still going to be held at Pride 28 with the huge cut!

I believe Nog and Fedor are going to in the New Year's Eve event

I beleive it will happen Oct 28th with Crocop vs. either Coleman or a rematch with randleman then the NYE card will have CroCop vs. the winner. Crocop could have forced Takada a fight with Fedor in Oct if he wanted since apparently they already had a deal before the GP, but crocop said he wanted the fight to happen before his match with the champion, atleast from what I gathered in the post fight interview. I may be wrong.
