It surely is not Carlson Gracie Jr. - He left the team in the mid-late 90's...

However, he did train several champions back in the day when USA / Japan MMA was still young and before..
he doesn't tria nthem now, but he's largely repsonsible for their growth as jiu jitsuka and fighters, in fact he fostered them far more than Miletich who basically has taken wrestlers and meshed a lot of different styles to prepare them for MMA.

I respect Miletich's genius and for creating what he did (he's from Iowa for god's sake). I think Carlson created more though. He's not completely responsible for what we see now, but he sparked the flame and fostered the fire.
